Kei 01: “Don’t make it ULTIMATE” with DA’ T.R.U.T.H.
It was such an honor to dialogue with Grammy Nominee and Stellar Award winning artist and speaker Emanuel Lee Lambert Jr. aka “DA’ T.R.U.T.H. about his new single, “Chasing Ghost.” He has been in the music industry for over 20 years. Some call him the Kobe Bryant of CHH because of his leadership, substance, and quality of his music. Working with artist such as Lecrae, Flame, Kirk Franklin, Trip Lee, Samoht, KB, Christon Gray, Aaron Cole, Natalie Sims, Andy Mineo, and more has impacted millions across the world. T.R.U.T.H. has been speaking across the globe engaging in some of the most heart and mind wrestling questions around philosophy, mythology, theology, and how its applicable to everyday life with some of the greatest minds such as the legend, Dr. Ravi Zacharias and more.
T.R.U.T.H’s music has always been an artistry that goes deeper than just a cool beat and catchy hooks similar to some mainstream music. If I had to describe his music it would be described as a battlefield of the mind that wrestles with the soul. When asked about his style of music he said, “I couldn’t write any other way if i tried.” T.R.U.T.H is so much more than music. Just like many he is a person who is on a mission; not being distracted by some of the industry nuances and lifestyle of, “getting on” or “getting to the bag” and making it the ultimate goal. He was very adiment on expressing that developing these relationships, grinding to get the awards, becoming million and billionaires should be A goal; But we shouldn’t make it ULTIMATE.
During our time we on KeiThoughts, we dove right in to his new project, “Chasing Ghost” featuring artist such as Greg Cox, Jasmine Tate, Limoblaze, and Swoope who is on the remix to to one of the songs on the project. We broke down bar for bar on a few songs on the Chasing Ghost and wrestled with some deeper questions of emotions toward the end of our segment.
Thank you for taking time to read and listen, and hope that this as valuable gratifying for you as much as it was for us.
